What is the u3a?
Derby u3a is part of a worldwide organisation and belongs to a national network of over 1000 u3as, which all operate with the support of the Third Age Trust. It is a self-help, self-managed, lifelong learning cooperative for retired and semi-retired people of any age to participate in learning, social and recreational activities. We are run entirely by our members for our members on a voluntary basis, sharing our interests and skills. We welcome people of every race, gender, disability, religion or belief, and sexual orientation.
Our activities
Around 50 different interest groups – everything from quizzes to psychology; from archaeology to real ale.
We welcome ideas for new groups too!

See our Events Page for upcoming speakers and topics.
