Most Derby u3a members will be aware that Derby is twinned with Osnabrück in Germany. We are in touch with Sophie Bailey (City Ambassador for Derby in Osnabrück or Städtebotschafterin) about extending the links between the two cities.

We are setting up a German group to learn a little about the German language, culture and geography. We intend to be an informal group which will initially meet up twice a month in the Standing Order pub on Irongate on Thursday mornings to chat, learn some 'holiday' German and have a tea/coffee or something stronger if required!

A group of us is intending to visit Osnabrück for Maiwoche (May Week) next year.
