We are happy to welcome 'occasional' members - i.e. those who are interested in a particular artist or album we are featuring at one of our monthly meetings.

The Classic Rock group (previously known as the Progressive Rock group) meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 2.00pm (occasionally moved to the first or third Thursday if there is a date clash). We reminisce and share memories of our favourite bands. The period covered is roughly from 1960 through to the 1980's, but that is not strictly adhered to! We are also broadening our remit to include rock, pop, folk rock and blues amongst other genres as well. Important: Non u3a Derby members are welcome to attend one of our meetings as 'guests', but should they wish to attend on a regular basis, they will be required to become members of the Derby u3a. Click here for joining information. To cover the cost of venue booking, as per all Derby u3a groups, there is a charge of £2 per attendee, per session attended.
