MOTO. Members on their own group

 A group for members who live on their own and wish to participate in activities with other members.

Fancy going to the cinema or to a concert? Would you like to be a regular theatre goer? Perhaps you would like to meet once in a while for lunch or a coffee.

Cautious about going out in the evening but would love a meal or drink? Maybe you like to walk and prefer to choose your companions.

Whatever you fancy doing, you can be sure someone else will have had similar thoughts and together you can do make it happen.

How does the group work?

We have a Derby MOTO Whats App group. Members can post messages there suggesting an event - concert, theatre, meeting, walk or anything else that they would like to find someone to accompany them on. Other members then register their interest and sort out details. Although the leader may suggest events, the group is bascially led by the members for the members,

Those who don't have access to Whatsapp can buddy up with a member who does. 

We have an informal meeting once a month where we meet up for coffee and a chat.

If you would like to join the group, please contact Catherine, the Group Organiser, using the group email above. Please include your Derby u3a membership number. She will send you a link which will enable you to join the Whats App group, post messages and participate in activities suggested there.
