Below is a list of our meetings during 2026 (most recent first) and the topics covered. Where possible there will be a link to the material featured.

Please note that the linked material will be one of the following types: a document (PDF), a presentation (shared Google Slides) or a movie (mp4) shared from a Google Drive. Movies you may find more convenient to download to view. The format is compatible with Windows and Mac and even iPad and Android tablets. Some Smart TV's may also be able to play the file.

June 2026 - 'Women in Rock'. Members nominated tracks on our theme. It proved to be an interesting and diverse journey through different styles and as ever, new artists and tracks discovered. A track list, with links to the tracks on YouTube can be accessed here.

May 2026 - Andy presented to the group 'My First Rock Festival' which he attended in Buxton in 1973. A PDF of the slides can be viewed here. A PDF of the script is here and a list of tracks played (YouTube links) is here.

April 2026 - Influences. Members of the group nominated tracks by current artists companion tracks by artists that had in turn influenced them. A list of tracks, with YouTube links is here.

March 2026 - The group watched an excerpt from 'Standing at the Crossroads', a biography of Eric Clapton, introduced by Tania. Afterwards, we played some tracks featuring Eric in the various groups of which he has been a member over the years. A list of tracks and YouTube links is here.

February 2026 - We had a presentation from one of our members: Linda, on 'Mellow Metal'. Many of us were perhaps a little curious as to whether there was such a thing - but it turned out there was! The presentation and tracks played can be accessed here. It's a PDF with links to YouTube videos.

January 2026 - Our topic for the meeting was Female Solo Singer Songwriters. Tracks played were nominated by group members. As ever, there was a broad range across styles and decades. A list of tracks can be viewed/downloaded here.
